Anxiety Therapy in Deerfield, IL

Helping You Find Steady Ground in an Unsteady World

It’s easy to feel overwhelmed in today’s world. The pressure to keep it all together—at work, at home, in relationships—can quietly build until it feels like anxiety is calling the shots. Whether it shows up as racing thoughts, difficulty sleeping, irritability, constant worry, or a persistent feeling that something is wrong (even if you can't name it), anxiety can disconnect us from the parts of life that bring joy, purpose, and clarity.

In therapy, my aim is to help you better understand what anxiety is trying to tell you—because it’s often not just about “feeling nervous.” Anxiety may be your mind’s way of signaling unprocessed pain, unspoken needs, or longstanding patterns that no longer serve you. Together, we’ll work to untangle the root causes, so you can begin to feel more grounded and in control.

What to Expect in Our Work Together

I offer a collaborative, thoughtful space where you don’t need to have the right words—or even know where to begin. We’ll slow things down, explore what’s happening internally, and build a deeper awareness of the patterns that keep anxiety in place. With this awareness, we’ll begin developing new ways of relating to your thoughts, your emotions, and your story.

Therapy might involve:

  • Learning to identify triggers and underlying beliefs

  • Gaining tools for calming the nervous system and increasing resilience

  • Exploring life experiences that may have shaped your current relationship with anxiety

  • Understanding how anxiety may impact your relationships and sense of self

There’s no one-size-fits-all model. Our work will unfold at your pace, centered around your goals and experiences.

My Approach

Much of my work is informed by psychodynamic, relational, and mindfulness-based perspectives. I pay close attention not just to what is being said, but to how it’s being said—how themes, emotions, and bodily cues show up in the room. I see therapy as a space where we can both make sense of your past and imagine new ways of living in the present.

I also incorporate elements of cognitive and somatic techniques where helpful—especially for clients seeking tools to manage day-to-day symptoms while doing the deeper work.

My Background

I’m a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) practicing in Deerfield, IL. My clinical training includes work with adolescents, adults, and couples navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, and identity concerns. Before starting private practice, I trained and worked in both community mental health and outpatient clinic settings, giving me a broad view of how anxiety can impact people across different walks of life.

I hold a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology and have pursued ongoing training in trauma-informed care, mindfulness-based interventions, and psychodynamic psychotherapy. I’m committed to creating a space that feels welcoming, inclusive, and attuned to the unique experiences you bring into the room.
